Norway ~ Thankful ~
Talking with some fellow norwegian friends last night made me think of how blessed I am..
Let me lay it out, so you get this:
I have basically lived in Bryne-Norway my whole life..
Bryne is considered the best city to live in, in Norway. Being the best city in Norway to live in is based on how many people live there, school and education systems, health systems, communual and county systems, jobs, income, houses... etc there are maaaaany categories.. but Bryne somehow is the best in Norway...
Norway is considered the best country to live in... whilst Niger is the worst, according a United Nations report.
The results of UN Human Development were published Oct.5th 2009. According to the report, Norway is the world’s best country to live in among participating 182 countries allover the world.
The ranking is based on criteria such as education, life expectancy and gross domestic product (GDP) per capita.
sooo... this tells me.. that I have grown up in the best place in the world. period.
Swedish tv did a whole 4 min clip in their prime newstime not too long ago about my city. Because even through the recession... it has seemed to not affect Bryne at all... and realestate that seems to be dropping everywhere else in the world.. are going higher in Bryne..
Here is a link to the news:
And now I'm at least for a while moving away to the US.... why? well.. offcourse.. I did get married to an american... and a skateboarder.. but I have offcourse a lot of reasons of why to go... GX.. What I believe is my calling etc...
anyways
That's not what I want to talk about in this blogpost.
What I want to talk about it...
When we are blessed - we have a even GREATER RESPONSIBILITY...
and as I have been seeking God's heart a lot this fall.. I am seeing how He is changing my heart.. the way I think.. and I believe he is showing me how I have such a responsibility to give back.. give back to the people/countries in the world... like a lot of countries in Africa, South America and Asia.. where people are living under conditions I can't even imagine or even understand... fully.. because I have always had everything I need.. and SOOOO MUCH more! I have never in my life had to worry about getting clean drinking water.. I think about my iphone and my stuff..clothes etc.. But there are people who has to think about these things because it is not a normality to them...
Very recent I danced at a benefit concert for the people of Bolivia and for clean drinking water. I was so stoked to be able to be apart.. Being there touched something so deep within me... It was like God was whispering to me about how priviledged I am and how blessed I am... and He was showing me to acknowledge that... and then also take to heart what a great responsibility to share I have.. we have.. everyone who reads this have...
I want this to be encouraging... I think we all should see how blessed we are.. our issues are crap compared to most people on earth.. really...
hmmm.. I think I want to leave this blogpost with saying...
Give...whatever you can.. your time, your friendship, your money, your creativity, your LOVE!
